Cats believe they should be treated like royalty, so why don’t we give them a chance to be! With Purfect Treats cats will get to feel like nobility with a low price on their human’s wallet!
The theme for this year’s web design contest is: love those pets! Although I do not have any cats of my own, they still hold a place close to my heart. A pet is anything you want it to be, usually an animal. If you are not allowed pets but have a stuffed cat or dog, then that can be your pet! If you have an alive fish or a lizard, that’s your pet too! Pets are important because they help release endorphins, which are the happy chemicals in your brain. Pets are great stress relieves when you have a bad day and great cuddle buddies at night!! I come from a home with many pets. I have two goldfish named Augustus and Bernard, a Beta names Sebastian, two clown fish named Suave and Enzo, A zebra fish named Charles, A lab named Luci, a mini Daschound named Snickerz, and a Bearded Dragon named Griffin. As you can tell, I have quite a variety of pets in my home. Pets are a very big deal in my home. After I had ankle surgery in February of 2014, I purchased my Beta Sebastian. He was a responsibility I could handle easily but still feel like I was in charge of something. All of my pets are extremely important to me. When I am having a bad week, I can cuddle with my dogs on the weekend to relieve stress, or feed the lizard crickets (it is really funny watching him eat them). This year the theme is: love those pets. There is two categories in the competition, beginner or advanced. I am a first time web design student so I am in the beginner category. I am in charge of illustrating how much I love my pets. It does not have to be my pets, but I am sure you understood that from my cat themed website but no cats on my list of pets! The requirements are that I must list the software I used and my computer classes taken, there must be alt tags and proper grammar, it must be technologically correct, and it must be creative as well as designed neatly. My Plan of action is to start a Cat Bakery called Purfect Treats. The website will share easy, inexpensive recipes for your kitties to love! Page one has the recipe for the tuna treats, page two has the recipe for the chicken treats, and page three has the meat free option. Inside this website you’ll learn how to treat your cats. I will show you how to make a delicious snack that your kitties will pounce on! Let’s stop only indulging the dogs, and start treating your feline friends too! I edited this photo first by Hitting the Auto Button to slightly brighten the photo. I then used the quick selection tool to highlight the area around the dog so I can separate the dog from the rest of the photo. I then moved the saturation bar all the way to the left so it had a cooler temp. Then moved the hue bar all the way to the right so it had a yellow tint. I edited this photo first by using the Auto Button to lighten the photo. I then used the Quick Selection tool to highlight the bottom half of the photo to make the screen have a blue tint with the "make gray skies blue" tool. I then used the Quick Select tool again to highlight the top half to make that section black and white to stop the people from being a distraction. I prefer normal Photoshop to the Photoshop Elements. The original has more options than this one and I am more familiar with that one. I like the quick fix on this one because it has the things that I use the most often in a quick and convenient spot. non-professional photographers use Photoshop for four reasons. One is to keep track of their photos which can be done with the organizer option. They use it to make photos look better, using the editor on rather quick fix, full edit, or guided edit can beautify photos simply. They want to present their photos in a creative way with built in templates and photo books. Lastly, they want to share their photos with online sharing and the option to print or email. In the quick fix interface there is three options for editing photos. One is the auto button which brightens the photos, the thumbnail preview that shows you what the photo will look like with the edit, and the sliders which gives you the option to slide the color over to the perfect saturation and hue. From the tutorial I learned about the auto button. I like being able to brighten the photo right away. I also learned about the quick fix slider which helps me do a quick and easy fix on my photos. The quick selection tool is never quick for me. It is so tedious getting the correct areas of the subject. It should be renamed to the color selection tool since it pulls the areas from a certain color. My question about Photoshop is how do you draw on the photos, I never learned how.
Three Shortcuts -Control D gets rid of the marching ants -The left and right brackets change the size of the teeth cleaning brush -Holding the space bar gives you the hand tool. -V adds to the smart fix line -X gets rid of the smart fix line I have so many pets. Luci is 7 almost 8 (October 3rd 2008) she is a Golden Lab. Snickerz just turned 5 (August 29th 2011) she is a Miniature Dachshund. Suave and Enzo are six months old (Bought March 2016) they are Clown Fish. I have a purple zebra fish. I have no idea what it is called and I never named him (Bought May 2016). Griffen is 4 (Bought July 2016) he is a Bearded Dragon. Benard and Augustus are almost a year old (Bought November 7th 2015) they are gold fish. Sea Bass is a year and a half( Bought March 8th 2015) he is a male Beta. My favorite pet does not belong to me. Her name is Slinky and we adopted her for my grandparents about a year ago. My grandparents had a chocolate lab named Cocoa who was 12 years old and they finally had to put her down. They wanted a lap dog next and were in love with my moms dachshund and wanted one of their own. Slinky is a rescue from Hopeful Heart. She was rescued from the house that was hoarding like 20 dachshunds last summer. She recently went through a 10 pound weight loss and was extremely timid. She liked to bark so she never got adopted, until I found her at adoption day at Petco. When I get to see Slinky, which is not often, I love to cuddle her. She gained a lot of weight back living with my grandparents and she is the perfect cuddle buddy. One time I took her for a walk to my grandmas mailbox, which is kind of far, she gave up half way and laid in the middle of the street and forced me to pick her up, she got so excited she peed on me. Some trivia about Dachshunds are: 1. They come in 15 colors. 2. They are known as the badger dog because they dig burrows in the ground. 3. They were the first Olympic Mascot. 4. they have a long lifespan, the oldest being 21 years old. 5. They are the smallest hunting breed. My idea for the website is to rather do my crazy zoo life, obviously because I live in a zoo, Make an adoption website for the individual pets at Petco, or what is safe for dogs to eat vs. what is not safe for dogs to eat. I haven't really gotten "the winning" idea yet. But when I do I know it will be good. But I do want to do something that will effect my pets not just everyone else's pets. My last idea is holloween costume ideas for your dogs. It is comparing my two favorite things. I think I just found my winning idea.
I would like to go to rather Blakes or the Zoo. I love both of them and there is plenty of things to do within each location. My only concern with both of them is that if we can only go for a half day that may be a lot to do in just a few hours. The zoo may be better for seeing more animals but the activities at Blakes would be fun for the fall. They will give everyone an opportunity to take pictures of pets if they don't have any. They would both be very fun trips and I would thoroughly enjoy both.
My favorite past theme is food. If the theme was food then I would make my website gluten free. I am gluten free and I have been for nine years and people every day are diagnosed with gluten allergies and I would like to share my journey through the gluten free life. I would have one page dedicated to recipes of everyday meals and one to baking. I would also have a page dedicated to how I did it and all of the positive benefits to living a gluten free life. |
